If we didn't go into Libya in the first place, this would have never happened.
France and England surely could have gotten their oil elsewhere. Where are they getting it from now??

Exactly. I liked Ryan's comment that the U.S. military should only be employed where we have vital national interests. I think he was referring to “boots on the ground”, but I think the concept should be more expansive. This episode reminds me of Somalia. Bush Sr. started it with some naive good intentions that eventually led to an underarmed force fighting for it's life.
