I never go to concerts any more, but about 5 years ago Meatloaf made a stop in Hamilton, Ontario, and I went to see him - he was great.
Everyone in the audience was my age (fifties) and they had a good time. Like a bat out of hell.
Bat out of hell, by Meatloaf, is probably the best selling album of all time. Paradise by the dashboard light is my favorite on the album, followed closely by bat out of hell.

The fact that you know nothing about this chubster with the golden tubes speaks volumes about both of you - You either missed the 60s-80s or eschewed the popular music. You never saw Rocky Horror Picture Show. For him, it means that even though he has always had a dedicated fan base, he has not tried to become a political activist vs. and entertainer.
