CINCINNATI — Mitt Romney assumed the mantle of change agent here Thursday, promising over and over again to bring “big change” to the White House as he opened a two-day campaign swing across the critical battleground of Ohio.

.....Although Romney’s crowd of about 3,000 was smaller than many of the other rallies he has staged this week, the throng packed inside a Cincinnati warehouse was electric. Every time Romney spoke of “big change” — a phrase he used at least a half-dozen times — his supporters’ screams were nearly deafening, a sign of the growing enthusiasm among Republicans.....

“...........While the Republican faithful can be counted on, it is people like Fran Foreman in Reno that Mr Romney can thank in part for the neck-and-neck nature of the race at this point.

Fran says she had always been a Democrat, but “this will be the first time I vote Republican. I actually changed my party this year. I just don’t think this country can handle another four years like the last four”.

“We hear all this talk about the economy, but it has taken a toll on me personally, and lots of people I know.

“I think Mitt Romney has some really good ideas, so I just hope he’ll get the chance to implement them - and that he actually goes through with what he says he’ll do,” she says, with a nervous smile on her face.

Again and again at Romney events, people of all ages say same things attracted them to the Republican contender.

“Basically, what matters to me seems to matter to him,” says Mike Travers, surrounded by his young family at the Iowa rally.

“He’s gonna get rid of Obamacare and the country can’t afford it. With his business experience, I think he can bring the country out of debt or at least stop borrowing so much.

“I can’t help but feel that Obama just doesn’t care about this country because what is really important is everyone having a good job.”............................

Gotta love the washington compost.
They mention rally in a WAREHOUSE then mention that it was a small crowd of 3000.
I mean how many warehouse are like Yankee stadium? How many superbowls are ever scheduled in warehouse?

Even when this left wing rag tries to give a actual concise positive report on a republican. They find somewhere in the article to shit on him.

I took my 19 year old son to this rally, it was great. Wondered about the location, had to park at “Cincinnati Gardens” and take shuttle buses to the location - but then the warmup speakers focussed on the small business issues they faced. One speaker explained how she met Mitt and had a good discussion with him - he understands the issues. Then she received an invitation to participate with the President’s council on business issues - GE’s Immelt and others met with these small business people in Dayton - only to urge them to borrow money and hire people. They don’t “get it” - you can’t borrow your way into prosperity. Someone has to be buying your products, and Obama’s economy doesn’t work.

Mitt was a hit. Great rally.

I wish the Romney campaign would come to Chicago. He could get a big crowd. It would stick a finger in The Disaster’s eye and he could raise a lot of dough here. He will get a million votes or more here in Cook County as it is.
