If “God’s will” remained in the privated sector, there would be no United States of America.

So, to “whom” are you praying?

Oh, so we should just continue to let the leftists tell us what it is, or is not, OK to say? Are you so willing to give up your 1st Amendment rights? Aren’t you tired of constantly having polititians lie to you to get elected? Now you’re suggesting that conservative polititians should just toe the leftist line. If our conservative politicians don’t have the moral courage to speak frankly about controversial issues, who will? It’s time to stop cowering to leftists, and take the argument to them. With your attitude, we are beaten before we begin. And we wonder why things are so bad in Washington.

Brown’s saying exactly what he needs to be saying for his market.

And you're OK with lying? How bout vote fraud?

Moderates, nothing but lying, manipulative, bottom feeders who don't even have the courage to be the democrats they really are.

Prolife candidates need to improve their skill at handling questions from the death-culture media.

What he should have pointed out is that rape is a horrible thing that the pro-abortion lobby, pro-abortion politicians, and the abortionists are complicit in.

For the past 40 years Planned Parenthood has routinely covered up rape of young girls by their step fathers, moms’ boyfriends, uncles, teachers, clergymen and others by killing the resulting babies and destroying the evidence. They ignore the laws requiring the reporting of this evidence which is not surprising considering they are a murder-for-hire business.

Democrats insist on forcing taxpayers to fund killing babies and covering up rape.

We need more leaders who know the place of Divine Providence in creating and sustaining life; who know whence their temporary power to rule ultimately derives. We also need fewer citizens who base their judgments in such matters on sound bites.

Unlearned

You said it better than I did.

How is it that our prolife leaders are still making such amateur communication mistakes in 2012? It is sloppy, lazy, sel indulgent, and damaging to the movement. That is what pisses me off about mourdock and akin. These guys seem to think that their role is to “philosophize.” it is not. Their job is to VOTE...for judges, for laws, for regs, and for funding that will benefit the movement.

Jmo.

1) GOP Massachusetts incumbent Scott Brown’s race against Elizabeth Warren,

2) Missouri’s Todd Akin against Dem incumbent Claire McCaskill, and

3) Indiana’s Mourdock against Democrat Joe Donnelly.

4) Heller in NV

5) Flake in AZ

6) Connie Mack IV in Florida

7) Josh Mandel in Ohio

8) Tommy Thompson in Wisconsin

9) George Allen in VA

10) Tom Smith in PA

phew, there are a lot of races up for grabs. Actually one more is McMahon in CT.

We will win ND, MT and Nebraska races.

Don’t forget about Rick Berg (Republican) in North Dakota.

That is a must-win race for the Senate which I have not heard mentioned recently here on Free Republic. Currently, the RealClear average has him 5 points ahead:

Polls are starting to trend against Brown and Akin but I still think Mourdock pulls out a win.

Actually, McMahon in CT, Lingle in HI and Summers in ME might be the ones to pull this out.

I admire your sense of optimism where Hawaii and Maine are concerned. I don't agree with it, but I do admire it.

I’ve had Mr. Berg as the winner since he was nominated.

“So where do you put the CT race?”

I live in Connecticut. I voted for McMahon in 2008, and I will vote for her again this time.

Having said that.... last time she came across as one of those wealthy types who spend big bucks to buy their way into political office (a la John Corzine in Jersey) and lost after doing so. Aside #1: Blumenthal was an attractive candidate (at least to leftists), but a big time liar — the Elliot Spitzer of CT. Aside #2: at least Corzine won after spending his millions.

This time Ms. McMahon has come across as.... well, one of those wealthy types who spend big bucks to buy their way into political office. Chris Murphy is a far weaker candidate than was Blumenthal, but in liberal CT, that may not matter — he’s leading by a point or two anyway. Obama should win here (a narrow win, but still a win). I sense Murphy will get dragged across the line on Zero’s coattails.

If she loses, perhaps Linda will finally wake up and decide to save her money... :)

Thanks. HI might be the longest of long shots, but ME might be closer than most folks are aware of.

The only thing we can legislate is morality. The only question is whose morality is it going to be.

Our right to life is endowed by our creator according to our Constitution.

If you want a candidate to walk and talk like an atheist, nominate an atheist. If you nominate a believer in God, don’t ask them to muzzle themselves and pretend they’re someone they’re not.

“One thing in Mourdock’s favor is that Indiana is one of the very first “early voting” states with Absentee having started September 17th and in person having started started October 9th. Mourdock was running from 5% to 8% ahead of his opponent in early votes, before the comments. So even if he “loses” by 5 points or so on election day he could still win because of his huge lead in early voting. “

I appreciate your optimism, but your math is deficient. 5% of early voting is not the same number as 5% of Election Day voting.

Mourdock’s opponent, Donnelly, is a “pro-life” dem. He voted for Obamacare (with all the abortions included) and voted twice not to repeal it. He also voted for Planned Parenthood funding. Donnelly is now criticizing Mourdocks comments (and even his clarification). I hope he continues because it will only show how empty “pro life” Joe is.

Good luck with that. Puritanism, whether in service of sexual morality or environmentalism or political correctness, is an affront to liberty. It also loses elections. The purpose of legislation should be to protect personal freedom, not restrict it.
