There is a time and place for everything. Many a would be politician has torpedoed his chances because he can’t say what he means so that the enemamedia can’t distort it and use it against him.
Why do you think this question was asked?
Media questions are always asked in order to trip up a conservative candidate and get fodder for distortion. I don’t contest that and I see your point about not unnecessarily giving them that fodder.
But at what point does wisdom become slavery? Have you ever been in an abusive situation? Do you recognize the comparison I’ve made - where the fear of abuse controls a person’s life? When the media takes a statement and blows it into something it never was - and then the rest of us pile on the person, blaming THEM for the media’s manipulations - we become part of the pathology of an abusive media. It’s what cults do. It’s why Islam is a cult. It’s why the usurper-in-chief blames a video or a Koran-burning rather than recognizing that a spoiled abuser is simply throwing a deadly tantrum to try to control the rest of us. There’s a whole pathology at play, and people slip into the enabling, denying, etc roles so very, very easily if they aren’t watchful.
Do you understand what I am saying on this?
I bring this up because it seems like your gripe isn’t necessarily over whether what Mourdock said was RIGHT, but only whether it was SMART. When we have to be so afraid of saying something that is right or true, it’s time to ask ourselves what or who is controlling us and why.
