I want to hear from the military whether or not there was any, and I mean any, support they could have had at Benghazi in time.

This isn't from the military itself, but the answer is yes. Forces could have been sent, except Mr. Gutsy Gutless Call in Washington apparently didn't feel like helping.

Naval Air Station Sigonella (on Sicily) is only 480 mi away. The attack lasted six or seven hours. You do the math.

Anyone with an ounce of honor or humanity would have put assets in the air and hoped they got there in time to help. When any lib talks about whether this or that would have helped they are talking purely in hindsight. When the time comes to act you don't get to know whether it will all work out. There are no do-overs when the shooting starts.
