Thanks for the details. Chris Wallace on Fox nailed this just after the debate. R surrogates come out swinging on this and the Navy’s demand to maintain fleet strength.

"Obama lied. Let’s see how the Fact Checkers do on this."

Chris Wallace proved this last night. He quoted from the actual article, and said Romney's statements were factual, and Obama's weren't. He also fact-checked Romney's and Obama's troop status agreement for Iraq, and found Romney was right, and Obama was wrong. He additionally fact-checked the bayonets and horses comment Obama made, saying Fox News had been tweeted by a Marine who said they still train with bayonets. Again, Obama didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.

Why not post this on some "liberal" blogs. It just might win some voters away from the liar. (There are not many likely Obama voters at Free Republic. That should not be taken as a criticism. It is certainly helpful for us to have your information on this. I just think it should be posted, also, where those who still imagine that Obama is an honorable man, surf.)

“A managed bankruptcy may be the only path to the fundamental restructuring the industry needs. It would permit the companies to shed excess labor, pension and real estate costs.”

Aye, there’s the rub. For in shedding those excess labor costs, what unions may come?

Are you saying the King lied? Oh the pain, the sorrow! How could we have misjudged our leader? Are you sure??? You must have heard incorrectly...or...it was probably Bush’s fault.

0bama learned how to play the media a while back. He knows that he can lie and pretty much get away with it, because few actually fact check and when they find he lied, even fewer report it. In the meantime he gets an effective sound-bite and the morons that support him are satisfied.

I thought he handled this very well however, I'd like for him to use the term "Chapter 11" rather than "bankruptcy". The term bankruptcy has a negative connotation to it whereas Chapter 11 sounds like a more managed process to fix debt and reorganization issues a company has.

Minor detail I know but Obummer's people could say that Romney is in favor of bankrupting companies and it would be believed by some.
