Sen. John McCain (R-Ari.) blasted President Obama for his snarky cheap shots at Mitt Romney during Monday nights debate, calling them unpresidential.
The president had his snarky cheap shot remarks which are both unpresidential and not likeable, McCain told "Fox and Friends" on Tuesday morning.
In particular, McCain pointed to one of the most talked about moments from the third and final presidential debate, in which Obama sarcastically responded to Romneys criticism of the proposed $1 trillion in defense cuts from last years Budget Control Act and sequestration.
Romney accused Obama of allowing the military to be cut to historically low levels.
Our Navy is smaller now than at any time since 1917, Romney said. The Navy said they needed 313 ships to carry out their mission. Were now at under 285. Were headed down to the low 200s if we go through a sequestration. Thats unacceptable to me."
We also have fewer horses and bayonets, Obama responded sharply. He then added that fewer ships and planes were needed because of the development of aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines.
Its not a game of Battleship, where were counting ships, Obama said.
The president also argued that sequestration was set up by Congress, not his administration, and that it would not happen.
Obama and Congress agreed to the automatic cuts as part of a deal last summer to raise the debt ceiling. Both sides agreed that painful cuts would be implemented if a supercommittee of lawmakers failed to come up with a deficit-reduction plan.
McCain said when he debated the president in 2008, he had the principle not to stoop to that level of ridicule.

Great, NOW McCain comes out swinging. You’re about five years too late Johnny boy.
Irrelevance, thy name is McLame.
Obama has ALWAYS been snarky, petty, and arrogant. He is beneath the office, and some people are just now beginning to notice.
And now the world knows it.
Sorry Obster, the game Battleship wasn't about counting ships it was about the strategic placement of same so you had one more ship left over at the end of the game.
Doofus.
This is the SOB who gave us Obama and ObamaCare because he wanted to roll over and play dead - beginning with his bizarre decision in October 2008 to “suspend” his campaign like the top job didn’t matter to him.
John - shut the heck up! No one cares what a born loser like you has to say about a guy you couldn’t beat!

Call it what it is...what Carville promised. This is Chicago style street thug politics writ large. “Chicago” is a dog whistle term for rassiss and Barry did not help the stereotype of the angry ...... male.
I agree with McCain. But dislike him and have zero respect for him and question why he’s so macho now instead of 4 years ago. I trust the Tilt A Whirl operator at the travelling carnival more.
Yes, I think that McCain would have something to say.
McLettuce has always been a fool.....took him 6 years to learn the belt went in the middle and shoes on the bottom
I have to admit I muted most of Obama couldn't stand listening to all the lies..
STFU McLame, Romney doesn’t need your help.....you who said ‘we have nothing to be afraid of from an Obama Presidency.’
Well, we Navy vets laughed out loud at The One. Clueless.
I have never been a McCain supporter, but there is an article in the WSJ opinion pages that claims that McCain warned the country about Obama’s foreign policy and says that everything that McCain warned about has been proven true. Romney tried to get into a little of it in the debate, but it is too far above the heads of the average voter to be discussed in a debate. Of course, Romney never credited McCain. That would have been disastrous.
Like the saying goes, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
incredile. if even MCCAIN is against obama, then who does obama have left?!
this could end up being a landslide!
He is just mad because he can’t move matthew’s nose out of obama’s ass.
