If someone tried that with me Id just tell them that I was baptized Greek Orthodox. As Greek Orthodox, you probably know that they label Mormonism as a polytheistic, non Christian cult, as do all Protestant denominations and the Roman Catholic church.

(Mitt Romney is a mixture of LBJ and Nixon, Obama is a mixture of LBJ and Jimmy Carter.)

So? You might be confusing me with someone who cares about his religion. Hinduism and possibly Taoism would fall into the same category under that definition, too. I wouldn't vote against a Hindu if he and I agreed on political ideology. I'm voting for President, not for Pope. Romney could burn incense to Isis, leave offerings to Athena, give deference to Vishnu, or perform Taoist ancestor worship and I'd still vote for him.
As long as Romney is someone who will actually follow his oath of office, will actually follow, "preserve, protect, and defend" the Constitution, will respect the central concept of Federalism and all that it includes, and take to heart the dictum that government can only be by consent of the governed, I'm satisfied. Call his religion a cult if you wish, but to me the implication that I should therefore not vote for him is a non sequitor, and, frankly, offensive to me.
