“If you don’t think you can change Washington from inside the White House, then let’s give you the plane ticket back to Chicago you have earned.” Christie said. “I mean that is a scary thing for the President of the United States to say, isn’t it?”

Obama believes our system is flawed. Constitution of negative liberties. Money equaling political power. Only real way to “change” for Obama is to bring down the system and start over. Redistribute wealth to all and America’s power to the rest of the world.

$5 trillion in additional debt is our version of the Soviet dissolution. Unsustainable system is a system headed for dissolution.

Sadly, there just are not enough people who understand that this has been his plan from the beginning.

In fairness, he said it in the context of of unable to change the partisan tone in Washington, but then he did seem to spread the brush wider in followup.

In one sense, he is absolutely right, even at the broader level. We have three branches of government for a reason. We are not meant to have a dictatorship where the president can change whatever he wishes. This is supposed to be a government of “We the people”.

The flip side is that even congress and the president combined are limited in effecting change. While presidents, and congressman come and go, there are tens of thousands in Washington that are unelected, and keep the gears of the big machine turning way beyond the time of elected officials. Legislation is so voluminous that the legislators don't even have time to read it all. They depend on others. Our founding fathers changed the world with two pages of text; the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution. Our congressman mess up the world with millions of pages of documents.

Obama believes our system is flawed.

Yep. He believes it's a "big, tough, messy Democracy.”
