I am an oldtimer so to speak. I miss the good old days of smash mouth grind it football. I was not a Bears fan, but Butkus was a monster who would not have been able to play his game today.

I saw a black & white photo years ago, taken in the early 50s IIRC. It showed a quarterback with a broken leg. Looking down on him was the guy who tackled him - smiling.
