"In a nod to the host locale of this iconic display, the event’s legacy came to be known as the “spirit of Assisi,” that city of deep spiritual redolence. Ah, but deep spiritual redolence . . . for whom? Assisi is a holy city if you are a Christian. To other religious traditions, it is just another dot on the map. To a fundamentalist Muslim, it would be better understood as a coveted city than a holy one. What makes it sacred in Roman Catholic lore, its witness to what the faithful take to be ultimate truth, would make it anything but a place of reverence in classical Islam."

Long, but insightful article on the fake 'religion of peace' by Andy McCarthy who knows the evils of Islam through and through.

Sharia and freedom.

Oil and water.

Neither mixes with the other.

Andrew McCarthy refers to Pope Benedict XVI (then Cardinal Ratzinger) to make some profound points and truth about Islam and its actual opposition to peace and freedom.

You cannot have freedom and sharia, and you cannot have freedom and tolerance for sharia in any form.

Well written and to the point. I know so many people who just do not get this concept, and it almost seems willful and fear inspired.

Andrew McCarthy: my new hero. Forget John Bolton. I want Andrew McCarthy as Secretary of State.

Though he was among the pontiff’s closest advisers, Ratzinger was uneasy about John Paul II’s grand gesture: taking center stage in a spectacle of interfaith solidarity. Flanked about him were leaders of the world’s religions. Even Shamanism took its place among Roman and Eastern Orthodox Catholicism, Protestant sects, Judaism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, and, of course, Islam — all joined in an iconic, ecumenical quest for “peace.”

If blind 'peace lovers' had been around before the American revolution - we'd all be subjects of the Queen... Right now in our time we have the 'Dictator Protection Agency' - also known as the United Nations. Think of it as 'Peace At Any Cost to Humans' ... Liberals and the brain-dead see things in such simple terms... "I want to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony... " Gushy little bits of nonsense.

...sharia is “totalitarian” in the sense that it really does endeavor to control everything — theological principles, economics and finance, domestic relations, social interaction, crime and punishment, the use of force, even hygiene. Most significantly, sharia is juxtaposed to freedom because it strangles individual liberty, the catalyst of progress.

Men are instructed what fingers to use to push back their hair... Citizens what size stones to use when killing a person... control freaks...
