Actually, they had just run out of ammo because they “Sprayed & Prayed” as they shot the dogs at a home in the neighborhood. Can you imaging what the Fuzzmobile would have looked like after they finally shot the hamster?
Fortunately, they could not have shot the hamster if they had to - no ammo. Not to mention the probability of them being bad shots, too.
