So is Hensley a conservative democRAT, or are the republicans here just suck-asses?
Liberal Democrat
The primary got rid of the suck ars democRATS in the primary, most of the rest were removed by conservatives. I watched the democrat convention and when Kansas took the stage to endorse Obama, they recognized 3 past republicans, Dwight Eisenhower, Bob Dole, and Nancy Landon Kassebaum as great statesmen, so I knew then the direction the demo’s were going this fall.
My guess is that the Rats control the state senate and they are ass kissers hoping for scraps from the master’s table.
Option #2 is the correct one.
Kansas is, normally, such a reliably Republican state that anyone who wants to get elected to anything calls themselves a “Republican” no matter what their true beliefs (or lack thereof) are. They are the epitome of the epithet, RINO.
The typical RINO politician who loses a primary, as happened to these particular traitors, would **MUCH** rather see a liberal Democrat get power than a conservative Republican. They hate and fear conservatives in their own party far more than they hate any liberal or Democrat.
It happens with RINO voters too, not just politicians, and that explains how an flaming liberal like Sebelius can get elected from time to time (plus, her daddy was a Republican; maybe some folks were confused).
When the roles are reversed and a RINO wins a primary over a real Republican, the RINOs incessantly preach that conservatives need to “get over it” and “accept defeat” and vote for the RINO in November instead of staying home or voting 3rd party, etc.
It’s a one-way street with those chumps, and I’m glad that this group got run over.
He’s a regular old Democrat, but the Republicans endorsing him are from the moderate wing of the party. We have three parties here: Democrats, moderate Republicans, and socially conservative Republicans. The Dems and the moderates used to join ranks to get what they wanted. But with recent gains by the social conservatives then the moderates are becoming an endangered species.
