Romney or Obama will be President. Not voting for Romney means you are voting for Obama by omission

Listen, even for posters who believe this drivel, you seem completely ignorant about one little fact: The President is NOT elected by a popular vote.

The "omission" argument works in close races of any given candidate...but the POTUS race injects electoral votes into it. That means the POTUS race is 51 mini-races (50 states + D.C.)

And, since you're from Minnesota, let's use that state as one example:

Minnesota is a blue state...It and Illinois are two Midwestern blue states in which Obama will get 100% of the electoral votes.

Hold your breath until your face is first flush with red--before it turns blue -- but you won't be able (in 2012 anyway) to "wish" Minnesota "red."

Anybody voting for Romney in Illinois, Minnesota, the Left Coast, NJ-NY-CT, the D.C. corridor (that includes MD, Delaware) or New England's MA-RI-VT-Maine ... will garner how many electoral votes for Romney? [Answer? Absolutely Zero!]

Therefore...people who vote third party in Blue states (like MN) aren't withholding ANY electoral votes from Romney.

Even in the 28 or so clear red states (FL, NC, & VA have recently become "clear" red)...if 100% of FREEPERs voted for Virgil Goode...guess what? Obama would still have NO chance of winning ANY of those states.

So...in about 43 states + D.C...a non-vote for Romney (by voting for say, Virgil Goode) does NO ACTUAL electoral damage to Romney.

Dress up your fear-mongering about Obama all you want...the only true "anti-Obama" votes should occur in the seven genuine swing states...

You are very wrong.

Far more than seven states are in play. As well, the raw vote total would help to support Romney with a perceived mandate and will of the people.

Minnesota is now polling within 4% for Romney, and as Dick Morris pointed out in his video yesterday, campaign ads may now sway that last four percent sooner than if it were just piled on to the ad-drenched traditional swing states.

Any Freeper in MN or IL ought to make darned sure that he or she gets out to vote and brings any like-minded souls that he or she can to the polls as well.
