Despite statements by Vice President Joe Biden, the State Department is about to begin formal negotiations over the extension of U.S. troops past 2014, a top State Department official said Tuesday.

Last week, U.S. and Afghan negotiators met in Kabul to talk about the Bilateral Security Agreement that will govern the extension of U.S. troops past 2014, when President Barack Obama said the combat mission in Afghanistan will end and the U.S. will complete the transition of the entire country to Afghan government control.

My son is expecting another deployment to Afghanistan sometime next summer. Obozo and Biteme lie, our soldiers die, and the media are silent. The ROE’s and this feckless idiot in the White House’s foreign policy is getting good Americans murdered.

If they're not trained by now they're NEVER going to be trained. These people are not worth one more American being killed or wounded. We should GET OUT NOW !!!!

Is this the Obama Administration’s way of reducing the US Military by attrition?
Bring those Kids Home now! The Middle East has shown it’s discord for the USA!
These Hell Hole Pits of countries will never change. They do not want Peace our a unified Country!
They do not want American intervention, All they want is USA money , your tax dollars, and the lives of your children to be sacrificed for no apparent reason! Strange, how do you have peace talks with a terrorist organisation such as Al Qaida or the Taliban!
Looks Like Blackmail on a huge scale to me!
Load up the B-2’s and Drop!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldhave bthem out of there by June.

And every piece of equipment they could carry.

What couldn’t be carried would be destroyed including buildings roads or anything else we gave them or used while there.

And, what about Iraq, Iran, and the rest of the Middle East/all other terrorist infested countries? What an ongoing, long-term mess!

...the White House’s foreign policy is getting good Americans murdered.

Which is exactly their intent.

Why?

Parking lot.

Sheet of glass.

Vast wasteland unable to sustain life for a 1000 years.

This is not a two sided war. The military is sympathic to the enemy and getting soldiers murdered. Get the troops out. They are warriors, not social workers for goat buggers.

This same thing happened in Iraq in '09-10.
DoS saw the writing on the wall and was bound and determined to maintain their presence (read: paycheck) in that country. When the negotiations to keep the military footprint fell through, DoS tried to requisition millions of $$ of military equipment and were negotiating for up to 5 large bases (Enduring bases). All so they could sit within their little walled compounds and interfere with the Iraqi government.
Nothing like continuing to spend millions for foreign contractors to maintain support for a bunch of do-nothings when we were supposed to have turned everything over to the host government.

Let’s go on one last hurrah in Afghanistan - carpet bomb some Taliban base, then withdraw immediately and put the troops on the border with Mexico.
