I'm sure he is. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins had their moments also. Brown also backpedaled on Scalia during the debate so as not to offend his more liberal base. You really think he won't throw you under the bus in order to hang on to his power and perks?
My read on Brown is that he is sincere, and more conservative than he talks. He trims a lot to remain viable in Massachusetts. Typically, a politician will cleave to what he preceives to be the postion just to the middle of his opponents. Mizzy Lizzy has already staked out a hardcore moonbat position, so in almost any other state there would be a lot of room to her left. Brown has run as Republican in Massachusetts for the last 20 years, so he must have some principles. He is no Arlen Spector.
Would you perfer to have Harry Reid running the Senate for the next four years?
