We thank You for the beauty of the earth in these crisp and fascinating autumn days. Your artistry is greatly appreciated as we behold the work of Your fingers in the glowing colors of the trees. How blessed we are that in every season Your beauty shines forth in Your marvelous creation.
Father, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. When times are uncertain and thoughts of the future are unsettling, we will not fear, for You, the Lord of hosts are with us. You, our God of Jacob are our refuge. Help us to be still and know that You are our God. Thank You that You are with us even unto the end of the age.
Bless our country, Lord, and save us from ourselves. Save us from over-spending, over-indulging, and over-occupying ourselves with those things that have no lasting meaning. Release us from addictions to those things that consume our time, our health, and our energy and yet bring no blessing to Your Kingdom. Help us to be fully committed to You, Lord, that we may be a part of America’s recovery and not her downfall.
May Your righteous right hand uphold each one of our troops, Father. Make them Your workmanship and may each of them be willing to do the good works which You have ordained for them. Strengthen each one by might by Your Spirit in their inner beings and help them to be rooted and grounded in Your love. Give them fresh revelations of Your presence, Your grace, Your protection, and Your love for them. Bless all those who wait for their safe return and may America be faithful in prayer for them.
