Iran jeered at Israel's air defenses Sunday while confirming that Tehran had provided Lebanon's proxy Lebanese militia Hizbullah with the sophisticated drone that passed over the skies of the Jewish state earlier this month.
Iran's "capabilities are very high and are at the disposal and service of Islamic nations," said Defense Minister General Ahmad Vahidi when asked about the origins of the unmanned aerial craft.
"It is natural to use whatever we have at our disposal at the necessary time to defend the lands of the Islamic world This move shows that Hizbullah is fully prepared ... and will respond to the Zionist regime." he said.
The drone that overflew Israel "shattered everything that was said about the Iron Dome system (Israel's air defence shield) and it became clear that the Zionist regime cannot escape Muslim anger." he added.

I can’t wait for the peace and quiet after Tehran is turned into a sheet of glass.
Hate to break it to the Mullahs, but Iron Dome is designed to shoot down rockets, not aircraft—and it’s been doing a rather effective job, to boot. Don’t hear much about those rockets landing on Israeli soil because Iron Dome takes out the vast majority of them in flight.
As for shooting down drone, the Israelis have fighter aircraft, Patriot batteries and AAA guns. The reason the IAF didn’t shoot it down immediately is they wanted to collect intelligence from the drone, specifically the signals between the aircraft, its control station and any intel nodes that might have been receiving data from the UAV. Once that info was collected—and the drone wasn’t threatening key military facilities or populated areas—an IAF F-16 took it out with an air-to-air missile.
Hizballah might want to think about moving its UAV ground station(s), because those facilities are now “dialed into” the Israeli targeting database. And even if the try to move them, Israeli UAVs likely followed them to their new location.
Reminds me of video from an AGM-130 I saw during the days of our no-fly zone ops over Iraq. Saddam would send some of his older SAMs into the NFZ to challenge us. In the snippet I remember, an SA-3 had set up shop and had the temerity to illuminate an F-16. As the AGM-130 went into the terminal mode, a door popped open on the door of the “Low Blow” radar van, and an Iraqi operator started sprinting away. He was fast, but not fast enough. A second later, the radar (and the runaway radar tech) disappeared in a massive explosion.
I predict a similar future for the Hizballah troops that “supported” that drone mission.
“capabilities are very high and are at the disposal and service of Islamic nations,”
This is why we cannot allow Iran to get Nuclear weapons.
They will pass them out to other Islamic countries.
Ping.
Oh, come on. A little nuclear proliferation never hurt anybody. They’re all demoncratic now./s
It’s nice to share.
Good post.
There is something bothersome, the first Python IV missile launched missed the UAV.
Agreed a very small signature.
i would also do the same to medina and mecca, and bulldoze down the dome of the rock while i was at it.
then i would bulldoze down every mosque in America.
if you can’t take an oath to the Constitution and mean it, you should not be able to vote. no sharia law or anything like that, or limits on the freedom of speech.
if you have no skin in the game you shouldn’t be allowed to vote either. the Founding Fathers knew better. there was never a “right to vote”, it was a privilege. you had to be vetted.
blessings, bobo
These dummies haven’t a clue what they’re talking about concerning the Iron Dome system. A drone doesn’t begin to fit the track/intercept profile the Iron Dome system is designed to defeat. Let them maintain their delusions.
I would actually take that seriously. If a UAV doesn’t fit the profile of Iron Dome, they need only arm it with something and have it hover around like a mosquito or fly, spreading destruction as the IAF tries to swat it. It might be biological, chemical, or even nuclear if it has enough lift.
