"Back then, the symbol of a failed president was a big rabbit. Now, its a big bird."
"Machiavelli says that once a leader becomes an object of contempt, hes doomed. Which is Obamas current condition. Once you become the butt of jokes the aura of leadership is gone forever."
The obamov followers running around in idiotic chicken outfits, certainly doesn't help salvage any dignity, however much is left. A terrific analogy by Michael Ledeen.

Obama is Carter 1980. Romney is Carter in 1976.

It Looks Like Carter All Over Again
At the rate Obama is sliding, the above statement could end being libelous toward Carter.

A huge difference in 1980 was that the famously conservative leader Ronald Reagan, had to convince the American people that he was not too far right for American politics, that he wouldn’t get us killed with his strong, bold, even radically conservative views.

Reagan had significant;y different policies than Carter. Romney supported the rebels in Libya and now in Syria. Liberal fail.

"Back then, the symbol of a failed president was a big rabbit. Now, its a big bird." Actually, I think it's the Big Bow.

Electorally it IS a lot like Carter. However, don’t dismiss the advantage the left has enjoyed between then and now. When good and evil compromise, evil wins.

Yup..! What is old is new again..!
Hey why isn’t the media noisy about it? Cuz we don’t have a WHITE guy from Georgia as Prez, that’s why.
Cuz East coast intellectual elites DO prefer professional death to criticizing a black bisexual Muslim.

Don’t forget Carter’s policies were so devastating to the country that the British thought he was a Russian mole.

Michael Ledeen is a good guy, but it's hardly a brilliant idea to compare Obama to Carter, especially on foreign policy. The analogy is just so obvious.
Seems as if the presidential race this year is going similarly to the one in 1980 so far, and hopefully it will continue that way through Election Day.
