Yes. But if the GOP embrace him how, they will give the Democrats the lifeline they need, and we could lose the White House, the Senate, and the whole shooting match.

I want Akin to win. But the only way for Akin to win, at this point, is to put such a drubbing on Obama that Akin gets carried along by the wave. And the way to put a drubbing on Obama is for all of us to stick to our knitting, and let Akin and the local Missouri GOP worry about Akin.

That was my point, he has to get dragged along in a Romney landslide. More has to fall in place for that to happen so it is all on the shoulders of Romney to do it.

I agree. The GOP can’t embrace this guy now. After Mitt’s huge win this past week, the Dem operatives are out in force on the talk shows today shouting “Birth Control”. We finally got this narrative focused on the economy and taxes and we need to keep it there.

Let Akin rely on his local support and hope a Mitt landslide in Missouri pulls him across the finish line.
