Besides, their benefits such as discount travel and insurance, can be had elsewhere and at better prices.

My mother also was a member of AARP. She discontinued her membership when I told her that AARP supported the Liberal agenda-Obamacare. We also went elsewhere to purchase her supplemental insurance even though AARP/United Healthcare has a little more inexpensive rate.
