'Not since Jimmy Carter faced Ronald Reagan has the U.S. presidency been so embarrassingly represented in public. Actually, that’s an insult to Jimmy Carter.'

Really it is only the second worst, and for people who remember the worst, this debate should not have surprised. The worst was a press conference when Obama invited Bill Clinton to talk with him, and Clinton completely took over the meeting, ignored Obama, and the press started treating Clinton like he was still president. Obama tried to get control, but could not, and finally walked out of the press conference. Last night was the same thing. If he could have walked out of the debate, he would have.

He effectively did walk out on the debate when he repeated his absurd “Five Trillion Dollar Tax Cut” assertion for the third time, indicating that was clearly all he was prepared to say all night if he had to.
