Americans HATE foreign aid. Politicians LOVE it. WHY? They claim it’s a drop in the bucket. Well, then give me 20 BILLION too. We need to be able to influence foreign countries. Like Libya? How did that work out for our ambassador?
WHY are we giving our enemies money to buy arms to attack us with?
Eliminate ALL foreign aid, NOW! We can institute new programs to feed the poor, and help poor countries to develop. Not by sending a check to a dictator, but by going there ourselves to hand out the food, build roads, drill wells etc.
We can DEMAND they accept our conditions or they don’t get ANYTHING.
It’s time to SCRAP existing programs and start over. No tinkering around the edges. Throw the baby out with the bath water? YES, catch the baby, wrap him in a towel, while you drain, clean, and refill the bathtub. He’ll survive the wait.
