So let me get this straight. We are compelled to live with a lethal desease because our Contitution stipulates that even something that will kill us has the right of protection.
I can just imagine future historians discussing the brief existence of the USA. It goes like this:
A: Notice how advanced that society was? They were certainly different from the rest of the world.
B: Right.
A: But also notice that they were destroyed from within because they insisted on a set of rules based on a sense of fair play.
B: Right. They preferred total destruction over survival.
A: You can say what you want about these Americans, but they heroically hanged onto their 1st Amendment principles up untill the time that it killed them.
B: Right, but also notice that those who took over from them rid themselves of that Constitution. So what good was that 1st Amendment?
After sufficient national lip-service is paid to 1A niceties, barring some kinda miracle, and regardless preemptive goobermint action or lack thereof, it'll eventually come down to the personal/family decision to kill or be killed.
Whether preference dictates a firearm, a katana, a poisoned dart, or bare hands .. withering glares simply won't suffice.
In my bumbling way what I'm trying to say to you is that yes, PC cowardice has allowed the threat of the savage rag bastards to become palpable and mentally weighing.
But whether, when all the yakking is done and the maggots are raging up your street, fear of them leads to suicide or one's unopposed murder is something that will be entirely in your hands.
None of that is meant to discount the individual powerlessness of a situation like 9-11 or the recent travesty in Bhengazi.
Without a few divisions and a couple squadrons of Raptors at my command, there's not a lot/anything I can do about the muzz threat beyond my own locale.
That IS 'our' government's job to deal with, and one of the overwhelmingly critical reasons for getting that marxist ENEMY out of the WhiteHut.
Anyway, I can't recommend Greenfield highly enough .. the guy absolutely 'gets it'.
