DHS grants gay partners discretion in deportation cases

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said this week gay and lesbian partners will be considered as family members when immigration agents are trying to decide whether or not to try to deport someone from the U.S.
The directive means illegal immigrants in gay or lesbian partnerships with American citizens could be spared deportation under the same leniency that is already often accorded to married couples.
But it also raises questions about a federal law that is tied up in the courts which defines marriage at the federal level as the legal union between a man and a woman.

OK, I can see that you might want to consider that if you are going to deport two otherwise law abiding people to a country where they will be killed for being homosexual- I would grant them asylum
But if they commit a criminal act do get themselves deported than tough luck charlie

Gay illegals go to the front of the line.

They will now consider them married and not deport.

Homosexuals consider all other homosexuals to be “family” and refer to one another as such. So basically they’re saying if you are a homosexual here illegally you will not be deported.

so, effectively now you dont have to marry to get a greencard, just say 'committed relationship' ???
or does that only work for the queer invaders...???

assylum has enough laws on the books so that this can be dealt with EASILY under the law with no special rights.
There is no need for homosexuals to be deemed “a couple” by Big Tyrant.
Her Napolitano is seeking to normalize homosexuals in much the same way she has turned her office into a homosexual shop.

The new directive is part of the Obama administrations recent push to focus deportation efforts on those immigrants who have the longest criminal records or who have repeatedly violated immigration laws. The push is meant to remove the threat of deportation from most rank-and-file illegal immigrants.Under Obama's fiat, they are already exempt from deportation unless they have "the longest riminal records" (see quote above). So this means that criminal homos will not be deported?
