I don't know if I'd call it a contentious interview. To me, he was asking him “tough” questions. That should be expected of the media. Ryan responded well.
At the end of the show, Wallace showed how many days it had been (1200+) since Obama and Uncle Joe appeard on Fox News Sunday - avoiding (hopefully) “tough” questions from Wallace (or any others).

Ryan responded well.The reason I am calling it contentious, is that I have never seen President Obama interviewed in this manner, except for a few minutes on what he initially thought would be a friendly Univision interview.
Why can't the Obama administration receive equal treatment?
