Americans are suicidal if they re-elect Obama.

I believe that America needs to learn a very hard lesson. It’s something that we needed to learn decades ago, but just never figured out. I say that four years of Obama have been insufficient for people to learn what they need to learn.

Eight years of Obama will teach America a valuable lesson. Of course, there may not be an America in 2016, but the people may have learned a thing or two by then.

Until the media fully grasps the lesson that we already grasp, the country will not be capable of turning the corner.

Whoever wins the White House will face an avalanche of trouble in the months ahead, and the ways in which these problems are addressed will reverberate for generations.

...

We are not helpless victims of politicians. But will we demand better?

Uh, I've got news for Austin Hill. Should Obama win re-election, the "get a grip" agenda that he proposes in his article will fall on deaf (rather large) ears. Why would anyone think that in a 2nd term, Obama will do a 180° turn and heed the will of the American people? He will believe, as he did in '08, that he has a mandate to further the Socialist policies that are the inner core of his (and his handlers/puppet-masters') beliefs.

No, 4 more years of Obama will be more of the same, probably to an even higher degree. The voters may demand that their representatives in Congress keep him in check, but that'll be a pipe dream.

"Americans are seriously pre-occupied as we enter the fourth quarter of 2012. Obsessions about the football season and “Dancing with The Stars” are a pleasant diversion from our present hardship and gloomy future, and frustrations over the logic-defying presidential polls makes for interesting talk show fodder."

The statement above is sooooo correct ... and so is this one "Never underestimate the stupidity of the American people".

In my encounters with people in my town, work, etc... this summer/fall, I can easily conclude that the vast majority of them are completely clueless. They don't want to hear about politics and the problems we all have, they just want to keep tabs on their fantasy football/baseball teams and talk about the upcoming TV season ... we truly are doomed.
