Back in the 1960s,I read that there are several versions of the Mona Lisa. I believe LIFE had an article about one of them here in the US, in the hands of a private collector.
Well, based on the photo at Wikipedia, I’d say Leonardo wasn’t capable of doing shadowing as bad as this. Just look at the woman’s neck.
Of course, it may be a bad photo or badly in need of cleaning. Or maybe, just maybe, I don’t really know what I’m talking about.
