The Entebbe Option (More Anti-Israel Leaks)
Foreign Policy ^ | 9/27/2012 | Mark Perry

Posted on 09/28/2012 11:15:44 AM PDT by mojito

Three high-level U.S. military and intelligence sources have told me that Centcom has identified three options for Israel should it decide to take preventive military action against Iran.

The first and most predictable option calls for a massed Israeli Air Force bombing campaign targeting key Iranian nuclear sites. Such an assault would be coupled with strikes from submarine-launched cruise missiles and Israeli-based medium-range Jericho II and long-range Jericho III missiles, according to a highly placed U.S. military officer. The attack may well be preceded by -- or coupled with -- a coordinated cyber and electronic warfare attack.

But planners for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Centcom have concluded that, because of limits to Israel's military capabilities, such an aerial campaign could not be sustained. "They'll have one shot, one time," the U.S. military officer said. "That's one time out and one time back. And that's it."

Mark Perry has become the favorite conduit by which the WH seeks to undermine Israeli war planning regarding Iran.

Earlier this year, Perry published, also in FP, a leak he received from the WH that disclosed a secret Israeli airbase in Azerbaijan.

Now this.

Who is Mark Perry?

From Wikipedia:

"Perry is the former co-Director of the Washington, D.C., London, and Beirut-based Conflicts Forum,[9] which specializes in engaging with Islamist movements in the Levant in dialogue with the West. Perry served as co-Director for over five years. A detailed five-part series on this experience was published by the Asia Times in March and in July 2006.[10] Perry served as an unofficial advisor to PLO Chairman and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat from 1989 to 2004."

That this information is coming from the WH is disclosed in the linked article:

"Dempsey knew exactly what he was saying," the highly placed military officer said, "and he wouldn't have said it without White House approval." After a moment, he added: "Everything the military says has to be cleared, and I mean everything."

The reference is to Gen. Martin Dempsey's recent statement that the US would not be "complicit" in any Israeli strike on Iran.

The official just confirmed that the WH is behind this story that leaks Pentagon war gaming of Israeli military actions in order to alert the Iranians.

So, Mark Perry, a man with impeccable Islamist and PLO ties, is now in league with the Zero WH. Along with Huma Abedin of the Muslim Brotherhood. And others too numerous to mention here.

This is the most sinister WH headed by the most insister imposter in US history.

I wonder how many people think an Israeli ơperation will follow a published script?

We’re the ones with airbases on all sides of Iran, and fleets right off shore.

We are the only ones who can sustain the kind of campaign it will take to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

And we are the ones who will have to keep the Persian Gulf open after any strike, and doing that will mean taking down Iran’s shore-to-ship missiles overlooking the Straits. Which means, even if Israel launches a pin-prick attack we’ll be forced into war.

And our troops and ships and possibly our cities will be the targets of retaliation attacks by Iran which means again we’ll be dragged into it even if Israel does the dirty work.

And whoever does the job, it isn’t enough since Iran will just build them back. The job isn’t done unless the current regime is also taken down. I’m in favor of taking out their nuclear labs and plants but we need to be very clear that this is not a one-time strike. Once this starts its war and its war with an unpredictable outcome.

Or if the WH is getting it’s intelligence from an agency with low morale, and possibly a feeling that the WH does not listen anyway, after “Benghazi - gate”.

There are many ways to end Iran’s threat— One must be a bit creative. How about a germ being loosed among her scientists? Maybe rather than go after the factories—go after their electrical grid? Maybe decapitate the Government in someway?
If you want to stop them set loose a rumor that the top scientists are Israeli spies and Jews—the Iranians will kill them. Set up an “Accident” at the Nuke plant—do a sort of Cenoble melt down? Then their is always—Total War —take out all that is Iranian and let Russia have the land.

This is a series of leaks. IDF plans have been leaked to assure Iran knows who is not their enemy.

Obama has likely taken credit for raids in Iran by Israeli special operations people. I suspect the attack will be on the leadership at the very first hour the conditions are right and the plan can be implemented.

Also un mentioned are the Gulf States. An attack on US forces in the region is a defacto attack on them

How about an EMP over Tehran? No death or destruction (at least not from the pulse) just a quick trip back 200 years in time for the country. It would certainly put a crimp in their nuke program.

Few remember that the USA and UK invaded Iran in 1943. The Nazis told the Shah that he was a pure Aryan, and, of course, that appealed to his huge Persian ego.

The presence of our infantry and armor in Tehran changed his mind, so the Shah decided to stay on our side.

This is the most sinister WH headed by the most insister imposter in US history.

This entire administration is despicable.

They are guaranteeing that Israel will have to launch an EMP strike (i.e. use nukes, though the blasts won't so much as break a window since they'll be at high altitude), since they MUST be successful - which includes not leaving Iran with the ability to hit Israel too hard - and cannot sustain a long campaign.

The blood is on Obama's hands.
