I’m a stay-at-home mom of two little ones and the TV is often on during the day. They’ve been running a commercial here in Florida for about a year now, advertising a ‘free’ phone and calling plans. Reading the fine print on the ad, you MUST be on food stamps, welfare, disability or unemployment to receive this phone. It is Sprint-based and comes with hundreds of free minutes and texting!

I’m outraged every time I see this commercial. Glad to know we pay over $100/month for ours when we could get one for free — if my husband would just sit on his butt on the couch all day. Sigh...
