Good for Akin for hanging in there; nice to see someone resist “borking”. Hope it pays off, but even if it doesn’t good for him.

I’m glad to see Akin stood up against the giants. Now they need to get behind him and help him beat McCaskill and win the Senate back.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee issued a statement Wednesday clarifying its support for Rep. Todd Akin in the Missouri Senate race and suggesting it might spend money to help elect him, after saying a month ago that it would not do so. Well how about that. The NRSC is finally waking up to fact that Missouri is mad as hell and won't let the NRSC blackball them. GOPe suddenly see the light that they need to dump McCrakel by supporting Akin. I guess they need that Senate seat after all. Dud...

Rick Santorum has also endorsed Akin. With people like DeMint, Gingrich, and Santorum stepping up to the plate, it helps Akin’s chances. Good for them. Go Akin!

Maybe you missed the part about the NRSC supporting Todd Akin.

That’s pretty sad in itself. So few of their other “must wins” are looking good. Florida, Ohio, etc... Hell. MO might be the only pickup.

We need politicians like Akin in the Senate. We get enough of them, we can have real reform instead of this slow torture to socialism.

No, I didn’t...
What took them so long to arrive at the party?
Do they not know what’s at stake in this election?
It does not appear to me that they do at all.

“Todd Akin is a far more preferable candidate than liberal Sen. Claire McCaskill, NRSC executive director Rob Jesmer said.”
No doubt Rob had to down a couple of stiff ones to be able to get those words out. That Akin may have backed the establishment boys down rather than the other way around would have been unthinkable a few years back. The establishment Republican party apparatus is still a force to be reckoned with, but Tea Partiers and conservative “non-team players” like Akin are getting stronger.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee issued a statement Wednesday clarifying its support for Rep. Todd Akin in the Missouri Senate race Well then perhaps the NRSC would do well to drop a little note to one of its alumnus, a certain former Republican Missouri Senator John C. Danforth, and ask him to get with the program -- that is if he is still a Republican.
Just sent a check to Akin. I don’t want Claire Bear winning. We need to defeat Obamacare!!!
