(CNN) Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney pointed Wednesday to the Massachusetts health reform law he signed and particularly its coverage of children when asked about his compassion for middle class people.
Romney raised the law in an interview with NBC News. Conservatives have criticized Romney for supporting the law, which is similar to the health reform law signed by President Barack Obama. Romney has said his law was constitutional and appropriate in Massachusetts, but was not meant to be implemented nationally.
"I think throughout this campaign as well, we talked about my record in Massachusetts, don't forget - I got everybody in my state insured," Romney told NBC News, according to a quote on their website. "One hundred percent of the kids in our state had health insurance.
"I don't think there's anything that shows more empathy and care about the people of this country than that kind of record," he continued.

The RINO Cycle of Betrayal.
The people of Mass. did not vote for RomneyCare it imposed on them just as ObamaCare was on the Nation. Romney said he was proud of RomneyCare. How anyone could have believed he was not for national health care did not want to listen to the truth. He 1st said he would give waivers, then he said he would repeal, then it was repeal and replaced. Now we know he is going to give us a name change. If Romney wins ObamaCare will be known as RomneyCare and we will be told it is a victory.
Willard also said he didn’t mind being called the grandfather of Obamacare. :::face palm:::: So I can indeed imagine Willard declaring Obamacare should really be called Romney care.
I’ve actually stopped counting how many times I’ve heard Willard say something so freakin’ stupid. Yes, I do know that Obama has also said some very stupid things. BUT is it too much to ask for the candidate opposing Obama to at least attempt to put foward (pardon) a winning campaign?
The RINO Cycle of Betrayal.
We have to elect enough senators to do this. Counting the days here. . 42 today. . Seems like a long wait.
60-70% of Americans want Obamacare repealed!
He says he wants to “repeal and replace.” Who knows what that means — it’s very scary. Once a sizable number of Republicans back ObamaCare or ObamaCare Lite you’ll know it’s here to stay.
Yeah, I heard that. Hey Mitt, how about replacing Obamacare with the free market and tort reform? Keep government out of healthcare!
No
If he becomes president, he's going to have a huge federal subsidy to help the states "want to do". It'll be termed a voluntary program, but the effect will be the same.
