It would appear that "some people are more equal than others"

I was debating online with someone who just loved Obama's speech. This person claimed to be an Evangelical Christian.
I shared with him that as a Christ follower the very belief of the narrow Way through Jesus Christ and his belief in the Holy Trinity would be considered “slander of the prophet” to an Islamic radical.
He implied that I was missing the higher message in Obamas message. I reiterated that the Islamic world would understand Obama clearly and bid him peace.

Sometimes the phrases used just don't fit the statement being made or the natural pattern of that person's speech. This was one of those strange statements: "The future must not belong to those who . . . ."

In a free country, who can presume to decide winners or losers, or to whom the future belongs?

Then, one looks for a precedent and finds, " The world belongs to you. China's future belongs to you." - Chairman Mao to students, 1957

Does anyone remember this remark from early November 2008? Then, there is this quote from Chairman Mao:

b) Those who condemn [slandering the prophet of Islam] must also condemn the hate we see and the images of Jesus

The first part (a) is a directive. The propitiatory follow up (b) is an empty gesture that imparts absolutely no constraints on (a).
