Of course, if you tell them that slavery was culturally acceptable in the United States before the Civil War, they’ll somehow twist themselves in pretzel knots to say that that is an absolute issue and child rape is a contemporary issue.
Next time inform such people that the Saudi and other Islamist nations are still allowed to have slaves in their embassies in the US RIGHT NOW!! It will blow their minds but it is all true. I remember about 10 years ago a black African slave escaped from one of the Muslim countries embassies in DC and we could do nothing but return her.
