Jesus can take care of himself, because our God is true; the only thing we need protection against is having the government slander or attack Christianity or Christians. Jesus knew perfectly well that people would attack: rejoice when men say all manner of evil against you for My sake, for great is your reward in Heaven.
Mohammed, on the other hand, is the false prophet of a false god, and therefore even discussing him is forbidden, let alone “slandering” him.
I hope people don’t get suckered into thinking that we need laws against the “slander” or criticism of religions, including Christianity. For one thing, any fool knows that the only religion that will really be “protected” is Islam.
But we’ve done just fine here in the US for centuries now, with people free to say whatever they want about Jesus Christ - and Christians are very strong here as a result. The only thing we don’t want is government interference, and if Christians don’t recognize this type of law as the first step in that direction, they’re deluding themselves.
