Obama is a bad man and person. He is obviously “wrong” in what he is and does. That does not require further elaboration, except to the liberal mind or Ghetto welfare state class (I am sorry to say such a class of people exist).

Romney is more of an enigma. Yes, Romney does many “good deeds” and he is a true supporter of his “church.” However, therein lies the problem. Romney’s beliefs and his church are false Christianity - there is NO way to avoid this. So, what “good” he does is so much rubbish in the eyes of God. Satan literally is gleeful about Romney being the candidate for the GOP. You see Satan isn’t against “good works” or “good deads”, or even “good morality.” Satan is against the bold proclaimation that Jesus Christ and His true Gospel. Satan wants people to believe a false Gospel so he can lead them to hell just like his ultimate fate will be (Romney’s beliefs and church lead people to hell). Thus, Satan isn’t against good works or even moral values that are divorced from a TRUE understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what He has done to redeem mankind. For one, the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is clear that ALL men are sinners - ALL - we have been since the fall of Adam described in Genesis. ALL men can do nothing on their own (good works, morality, good deeds...etc.) to end the penalty that sinful nature deserves = death and eternal separation from God in Hell. We can NEVER “earn” salvation from sin. Jesus Christ is LITERALLY God in Human Flesh. He is God taking on a human body. The specific purpose being so that he could live a sinless life (which Adam could not) and then be sacrificed as a way to propitiate God’s righteous wrath against man...his sin...his (man’s) very nature. By God in Human form, dying in man’s stead he created the ability for God to be able to forgive man’s sin, IF they believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord (God) and Savior. They must put their trust in Jesus Christ, and Him alone to save them from their sin (good deeds are result of salvation not a cause).

That is the essence of the Gospel. The Apostle Paul best said it in I Timothy 1:15-17, “The saying is trustworthy anddeserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jeus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life. To the King of ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Romney and his “church” do NOT teach this. They make Jesus Christ something other than what He truly is. Thus, they lead people to hell because they prevert the nature of the Savior and people cannot savingly believe in what is not true. They can be the most upright, moral, and generous folks on the planet and they are still hell bound and dragging others with them.

So, please don’t exclaim all the good deeds of Romney as justification to vote for him. They are indeed meaningless.

From a purly secular view of good and bad, Romney does come out on top of Mr. Obama; just about anyone would. However, in the Christian sense, Romney is an agent of evil (although covert) because of what he believes and teaches others to believe. That is why I cannot support him for POTUS. I will not support a man who will mislead others to buy into a false Gospel. The results of which will be an eternity in hell. I cannot get so hung up in the “moment” to get rid of Obama, and sacrifice a thing of greater importance.

I know my Christian beliefs are not that well accepted here on Free Republic. However, I must remain steadfast in supporting what I know to be absolutely true. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is absolutely true...Obama and Romney are not. To help either, in my worldview, is to oppose the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

From a more secular perspective, I cannot trust Romney to be true to his word. He is promising things now that he has never stood for in the past. He has helped spread abortion. He has helped spread the homosexual agenda. Why should I be so foolish to think he will not do the same as POTUS?

I agree with you completely about the Mormon religion, but maybe I’m missing your point. You say that Satan is gleeful about Romney being the candidate.....so who would Satan NOT want me to vote for (and remember, there’s only two choices that have a chance)?
I’m sorry but I would much rather have a man who we know has been doing “good works” over a man who has built his whole life on the destruction of this country, I don’t care what his religion is! When Jesus said that good works won’t get us into heaven, He didn’t mean they were a bad thing. ;)
