The spouse and I, each received a notice this past Saturday from the Ohio Secretary of State notifying us that we moved (which we did to Georgia) and need to cancel our Ohio voter registration. ... we filled it out and it went back today.

The Sec. of State office discovered our move via the United States Postal Service address records....

Wiser Now call Jon Husted's Ohio Secretary of State office and notify them of what's going on and ask where you should send this absentee ballot request back to.

I'm tell you both about this because the Sec. of State is making an attempt to purge the voter rolls for accuracy sake.

The PA voter ID Law may help us carry the Keystone State. The latest polls show Obama at 47% and Romney at 45%. Been many years since PA went Republican in the Presidential Race. This could make a difference.

Not likely since it was essentially struck down.

I couldn’t work up any “outrage.” There are a lot of people who should not be voting, esp. new citizens who can’t find their naturalization certificates or US passports...

SC requires proof of citizenship and we are working on the photo ID deal as fast as the Voting Rights Acts and the Obama administration allow us!

Our county fair starts this week and you have to have a photo ID if you are in the military and want to get in at a reduced rate. Isn't it ironic? LOL

The PA Voter ID Law was struck down? I did not know that. I’m telling you; this nation will deserve whatever we get in the days and years ahead.

They sent it back to the lower court with unstructions to the lower court to essentially nullify it.

Did the lower court nullify it?

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/09/18/breaking-pennsylvania-supreme-court-remands-voter-photo-id-law/

snip
In Harrisburg Pennsylvania, the State Supreme Court today, by a 4-2 vote, has remanded the controversial Voter Photo ID Law back to the lower court. As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer:

The Supreme Court has ordered that the state’s controversial new voter ID law be returned to a lower court for a speedy hearing on how the state is implementing it to ensure all voters have access to appropriate state-issued photo identification.

The Supreme Court decision gave the lower court until October 2nd to determine the impact and the ability of the state to insure voting eligibility protections. With today’s remand, the lower court will face pressure from plaintiffs and advocacy groups to overturn the law on constitutional grounds, but – more compellingly – that there is simply not enough time or state facilities available to get the required Photo ID’s into the hands of upwards of 750,000 voters impacted by the new requirement by the November 6th General Election.

The number from my Alien Registration Card (Green Card) is printed onto my Naturalization certificate

I had never noticed that the Alien Registration number was on the certificate. When I read your post I had to run and check it... yes, it's there! All I can think is that my picture is so bad that I had never spent much time looking at the certificate!!! Instead I have the US flag they gave me at the swearing in ceremony, it is kind of faded but it still waves over my desk. My husband and children know that I want to be buried holding it in my hands.
