Praising diversity for the sake of diversity is antithetical to the dream of America being a melting pot where people from all parts of the world come together in a single society with the singular goal of being “American”.
Diversity is leading to the Balkanization of this country.
The word itself needs to be expunged of implied merit. Here is how to do that. Note that DI-verse, AD-verse, CON-verse, RE-verse, IN-verse, PER-verse... ALL imply opposition and conflict between parties. It is the essence of the Hegelian dialectic, in that the existence of opposition then calls for the IMPOSITION of authority to settle the conflict. Yet the power to settle the conflict and impose said "synthesis," entails a "settlement" that is ALWAYS of benefit to said "authority," the bureaucrats in charge, who always represent the interests of those who control them, usually politicians beholden to the exceptionally wealthy and powerful.
Note that every one of these diversity thugs represents THEMSELVES as the "peacemaker," in effect, as a way to power. Effectively, the existence of "diversity" entails a bureaucratic police state, and needs to be excoriated as such at every opportunity.
Yet without a an evidently superior alternative set of terms, we will lose that battle because of the leftist citation to the mere existence of social disparity as evidence of inherent conflict. The most powerful way to disparage the idea of "diversity" as meritorious is to show how it exists in conflict with superior social norms, ideas that are obviously preferential to the goals of diversity: "variety," "harmony," or "brotherhood," for example, all of which amplify the BENEFITS of differences managed amicably by the people themselves, without any need for police.
Demonstrate that dialectical disparity to a liberal and watch them fall silent in shame. I have done it many times. It works, even in a university setting.
