Two retired Seals stand off the Muzlime swine for several hours, and a detachment of Marines could not have defended the embasy? Give me a break. Even if a detachment of Marines had died in the defense of our consulate and ambassador, which is unlikely, the world would know it is most hazardous to trifle with America.

Bengahzi is NOT the Embassy, that is in Tripoli where Stevens office is. No one has asked or answered why Stevens was in BenGahzi in the first place with the only security being a Muslim Group providing it and Ultimately aiding in His Murder.
The former Navy seals were working for a Different agency, what agency? I dont know, possibly CIA,Stevens could also have been a CIA Officer,he brokered the deal to get the Rebels the Guns to depose Ghadafi,Could he have been there to try and retrieve those weapons since the rebels who dumped Ghadafi were Al Queda?

Lets put this into prospective. Twelve Marines would have held out for hours against 250 invaders. The twelve might have all died in the end with the ambassador...but as daylight would have come...there would have been at least 200 hundred of the invaders laying out dead in various positions.

And in either case, within 24 hours Ronald Reagan would have turned every Libyan Islamist "militia" terrorist HQ, staging area, camp site, training ground etc into smoking craters. For years after, Libyans would be afraid to enter those blast zones.

Remember when the WH first reported the attack was by a group of 20 militants. Right there I knew it was BS. Slowly the story morphed to 400. Just a small accounting error there.

Now we find out the former SEALS weren't even part of the protective detail. They were State Dept. "contractors" who pitched in when the consulate was attacked.

The truth is out there somewhere, but you won't get it from the WH.

A squad of Marines with several SAWS (M-249 Squad Automatic Weapon), Grenade Launchers and in place Claymore mines if the bad guys breach the perimeter, would have been very effective. A couple of Browning 50 Caliber machine guns (The M2) would have rounded out the weapons nicely.

I lived and worked in the Middle East years ago. Money, the prospect of death and power are the only things that get respect.
