Great comments...totally agree with you. We saw it last night..just a nice change of pace, an escape from the world for two hours.

One thought...don't know if you've seen Money Ball..which I loved...( and the book is even better) but the Eastwood film is, in a way, an ANSWER film to Money Ball..it takes the tottally oposite viewpoint about the value of scouts and stats in baseball

Yes, I agree with you too. Moneyball was a great movie...4 stars and made you think about the movie afterwards. I don’t want to give anyone the ending to “Trouble”, but you kinda wanted the movie to keep going. at the end, to find out what happended, you know give a short three minutes when you’re watching the credits to see what happens say the next season. The movie moved very slow in some places, but it’s all vintage clint. He has a formula. YOU have some bad guys, and some good guys, and you have some tension, and you have some in your face dialogue. It’s right out of scrennwriting 101, but for me it works. It will be a sad day when he stops making movies.

The other thing about clint, compared to like John Wayne, is with clint what you see is what you get. He’s not wearing some half @ss toupee, with some alien looking face lift...tons of make up... noooooo in fact it’s almost the opposite where he wants us to see his turkey neck...and wrinkles...

He’s an American icon. Has he won the president’s award...you know where they give it out at the LIncoln’s center? Surely he has.
