This march is but a shadow of the one we have in the states each year (about 3,000 versus 300,000)...but it is a glimmer of hope that there are some willing to stand up for life even in Europe.

Very cool. What was the march route?
Splendid, encouraging. How beautiful that they have a Down’s child on their banner!
Wonderful!
As Christians, and Jews, we know that we needn’t concern ourselves with HAVING to be successful, only to Stand, Stand Up. The other is in God’s plan.
We choose Him, Stand Up for Him, and He will do the most amazing things.
Like another wrote, it is truly wonderful that a DS youngster is on the advertisement, because that is love and the full measure of being pro-life. We tend to sugarcoat the Life issue in the US to get more “likes” about the adorable perfect baby physically and mentally, but it is God’s gift to the world that we need to embrace unconditionally, physically and emotionally, at all ages, as Mother Theresa lived to show us and DS parents show us, and their children show us.
oh yeah and about the MARCH
you know how the March in DC isn't like that intense, just long and cold?
it's very very veryyy intense in Berlin. The counter protesters were chanting things like "if Mary would've had an abortion you wouldn't be bothering us now" and "if you had been aborted we wouldn't be bothered" and "no god, no state, no patriarchy" and "DARK AGES". they also had inflated condoms and were throwing confetti at us...which confused me. before we started to march they asked us (those in charge of the march) asked us to remain quiet and don't dignify the protesters with a response, to just smile at them and be silent. oh they also had very annoying whistles trying to distract us from the speakers at the beginning of the march, trying to make it so we couldn't hear.
But there were so many police that I'm positive that it has gotten violent in the past. I was actually kinda scared.
I'm promised some photos, which I will post when received.
