HHS is selling this under the guise of "flexibility" and says the point is to get more people working, not fewer. But recall that the joint state-federal welfare program has always had "work" requirements. Prior to 1996, they included such demands as journaling, bed rest and massage therapy.

For this reason, the statute specifically enumerated a 12-point definition of "work." People who can but don't meet the work terms eventually lose benefits. The Democrat Party programs promote the victim mentality and the entitlement mentality. Both encourage people to become parasites on society. It makes them incapable of doing an honest days work. It prevents them from being self-reliant people who contribute to society and makes them want other people to pay for everything.

Democrats are never generous with their own money. They want to take other peoples money and then brag about themselves.

It is impossible to have an honest debate about the dependency promoted by the Democrats. It is impossible to have an honest debate about the victim mentality and the entitlement mentality.
