To: My Favorite Headache

As mentioned on the other thread about this: there are only nine stripes. And there were only four of the original 13 colonies that joined the Confederacy (VA, NC, SC and GA).

Coincidence?

I’d be willing to bet money that BO and the commies that work for him have no idea what the stars and stripes actually stand for. I learned this in kindergarten her in the good ole USA. BO was in Indonesia. Guranteed he has no idea. Wish someone would ask him off hand. If he knew, there is no way he would say 57 states.

I don't think it is a coincidence. Why would you design a flag with only nine stripes? There has to be a reason for that.

And, while usually I would say Zero's raging narcissism and need to piss all over every American tradition would be sufficient reason for such a thing, I think in this case the nine stripes is a symbolic thumb in the eye to the South.
