WASHINGTON, D.C. A Channel 2 Action News investigation found that the State Department is sending millions of dollars to save mosques overseas. This investment has received criticism as the United States makes an effort to slash nearly $4 trillion in government spending.Plenty of outrage following the announcement made Thursday afternoon by a government commission that suggested huge cuts to the budget, including eliminating the interest education for home mortgage. This juxtaposed with the United States investing millions to refurbish mosques as a good-will effort in Muslim countries has upset many taxpayer groups.

That “make no law respecting religion” stuff didn’t mention Obama by name, so it doesn’t apply to him.
Building good will? Mosques are the armories and barracks for jihadists, and the training grounds for suicide bombers.
Whatever religious “services” they hold there, are exhortations to “kill the unbelievers!” The madrassa schools attached to them teach only from the Koran, and emphasize only the most violent of passages, which is fine for whipping up enthusiasm for the home team, but sportsmanship is not part of the curriculum.
This is on the order of the US funding the development of Soviet Army posts during the Cold War. I don’t think we did it then, but one never knows.
Yep. 160,000 per year per family of four. The gigantic credit card taken out in our names without our approval. In the real world they call that identity theft.
160,000 per year would fund EVERY need I could possibly think of, a new car, college for all my kids, savings for retirement, my mortgage, extra gas for my new car.
So, we are building mosques in other countries instead? I wish I could afford the plane ticket to see what we are getting for our money.
“Stuff like this is going on and Romney isn’t up by 10 points? How is that?”
***
Like every other issue, Romney isn’t addressing this one either. He needs to be more forceful, go for the jugular. And he has to do so NOW, not wait for the debates. Otherwise, he is a clone of mealy mouth John McCain.
These are Israeli mosques - no?
This appears to be an Atlanta channel, not DC. There is no Channel 2 in DC that I am aware of. The closest 2 would be Baltimore.
this is also a story from July 2011..kinda late to report this now isn’t it????
How is that?
Don't be so hasty.
He may be...
Understood. Someone here recently mentioned feeling a full "Sam Kinison conniption" coming on. I certainly can identify with that.
Another of those shovel ready jobs./sarcasm

The muzzlems are refurbishing Christian churches, too. First the blow them up, usually with the worshippers inside. Second, they think about the next step in the process for several hundred years.
Thanks for tracking down the original article. The story was reported by Justin Farmer, who’s now the lead anchor for WSB-TV in Atlanta. Mr. Farmer previously did an expose on the hundreds of illegals from terrorist nations who come across our southern border. Clearly, he has no desire to become a part of the mainstream, national media.
Incidentally, Justin is the son of Don Farmer, who was a correspondent for ABC News for many years, and one of the originals at CNN. Don and his wife/co-anchor Chris Curle retired about the time CNN made a hard turn to the left.
One irony: the station that employs Justin Farmer (WSB-TV) is owned by Cox Communications. The founding family of the company are some of the biggest Democratic supporters on the planet; the clan’s most famous member was James Cox, who ran for president in 1920 against Warren Harding.
One thing about Cox: they don’t let politics get in the way of making money. One of their other employees is talk show host Neal Boortz, one of the pioneers of conservative talk radio.
