I am very suspicious about this character and his true involvement. Why would these folks create a persona of a “film-maker” who says he is a “Jew” and “Israeli citizen”, who had a “budget of $5 million” (the film was obviously produced on a shoestring), “funded by contributions from 100 Jews” and who later turns out to be an ex-con for financial crimes? Was this film a setup by the Muslim Brotherhood as a pretext for rioting?
My radar is up too. It "reads" like Steve Klein set this man up and then outed him. There appears to be many threads to this.

Good question, particularly in light of the fact that the Arabic version was posted only last week, right before the 9/11 assassination of Ambassador Stevens.
The trailer posted in July appears to have attracted little notice. But last week, a second version of the trailer was posted this time in Arabic.

Well, we know it served as a pretext to excuse terrorism. That is now a historical fact unless the official statements are amended very soon.
