REAGAN SPEAKS TO THE NATION ABOUT ATTACK ON LIBYA
Reagan should have said “Dear Americans, I just shot a missle into Quadaffis’ tent, and if he’d been bending over at the time, he wouldn’t need Preparation H any longer...”
THAT WAS GOOD!!!!! How refreshing to see a caring and compassionate President speak to the American people. God Bless you Reagan.
Remember how much quieter they got for the next couple of decades after Reagan did that. This is starting to look more and more like the Carter presidency.
I remember that there was a spoof song produced at the time called, “Rockets From the USA” (to the tune of “Rockin’ in the USA”). Damned if I can find it anywhere - can anyone help?
I miss Reagan more and more as time goes on. Surely, he can’t have been the last great President?
Which works best? Check the correct answer.
[ ] Peace through apology
[ ] Peace through strength.
I couldn’t finish watching it.
This guy as what we Gen-Xers thought all presidents were supposed to be like. Hearing his voice almost felt like going home again, until I realize it’s only a video from almost 30 years ago and this nation put an fugging Mega-douche in charge.
Nov 2012 is when we need to start the 30 year trek back to what we carelessly dumped.
As an American who was living in Europe in the 80’s when these turbin heads were bombing discos and cafe’s and shooting up check-in counters at the airports, I was comforted to hear live on the radio that our government was targeting Dear Leader himself in a bombing campaign.
Love the graphic.
I hate to say it, but it’s like listening to a somebody else’s president in a far away fantasy land.
Tell me about this place you call America. I want to go there.
