We don’t police our speech.

That’s a lie. We have both the thought police and speech police very active in our “new age” society.

Don’t think so? Say (or think) the wrong words at work and you can lose your job. Say them anywhere and you may find yourself in court.

The civil rights movement in the 60’s was a direct hit on free speech, association and any other freedoms we used to have.

Free speech......I don’t think so.

Thank you. You nailed it. We have no free speech in many areas.

I definitely agree and understand your point. But political correctness is something we should be speaking out against and with the conservative media today, we are.

We need to up the attack on these violations to our liberties and we all know who is staging this stuff in order to shut us up. Ain’t gonna happen. Can we say, Chick-Fil-A?

The time for silence is past. We need to tell Hillary, Obama, libs/fascist everywhere, GO TO HELL!!!

Look at the case involving singer Patty Labelle. In 2010 she had a screaming fit because some womans kid was playing near her door, probably woke her up or something. Today I read an article where a judge ordered her to pay $100,000 to the woman. For what? She didn’t hit anybody, nobody was hurt.

The Constitutional protection of speech pertains to political speech directed at the government. It does not protect us, for example, from the legal consequences of libelous speech directed at another private person nor does it protect us from violations of the policies of private employers. This is an important distinction that is sometimes forgotten in contemporary discussions of “political correctness”.

There is a fundamental difference between your employer taking action and the government taking action. It's a difference we cannot ever allow ourselves to gloss over.
