PELLEY: Well, the platform as written at this convention for the Republicans does not allow for exceptions on abortion with regard to the health of the mother or rape or incest. Is that where you are?

Yep. People try to rationalize with the GOPe distinction. That is understandable but ultimately self defeating. The “GOPe” directs and controls the GOP. It is what it is and it is the GOP. It is not a friend of conservatives, and will continue to ignore conservatives when it is not exploiting them. It will not be taken over by the Tea Party either. Instead, it has for the most part corrupted of coopted the Tea Party.
No credible party represents conservatives and small ‘l’ libertarians. One will emerge, but not yet.
