"Rasmussen has Obama approval at 52?? We’re dead."

I just can't buy that. I will buy into a lot of things, like maybe a unicorn with glittered wings is waiting in the yard to be my ride today, but Obama at 52? Nope, not buying it.

Has RIghtwardHo ever responded concerning his top secret access to Romney’s internal polls?

I just heard that Romney wants to keep parts of Obamacare instead of repealing it like he said when he campaigned for (and won) the GOP nomination. Someone tell me again why I should even bother going to teh polls this time? I’m so sick of lying RINOs I could just puke!

No. But Politico lied about having the numbers (expect much more outright lying out of Politico, BTW) and I suspect they sourced their comments from that piece of crap posing as an article. It was roundly denounced in very strong terms by the Romney team this morning.

It was less than a week ago that Obama was losing support from women. We know Romney is up double digits with Independents. All the nervous nellies need to take a deep breath. Stay strong, don’t let all the polling data get you up/down, and just show up on election day. We will win this.

FYI, I live in Northern Virginia. My county went Obama, the first time it has gone for a Dem since 1964. In my neighborhood in 2008 it seemed every other house had an Obama sign in the front lawn. This year - zilch. Romney signs throughout, including my lawn. Not his biggest fan either. I do like Paul Ryan plus I’ll do anything to get this bum out of office. I think we’ll be amazed at the number of silent voters who just want this guy out!

My super-duper secret insiders in both campaigns say internals for California and New York look bleak for incumbents in general. Obama is down 17% in California and a astonishing 39% in New York.

I think if Romney ran more to the left of his base on Obamacare he’d be just fine.

Oh, wait.

Wow, you better get an article over to Politico, with unimpeachable sources like THIS!

I wish there were more people who remembered the 1980 election. The same dynamics are in play.

On this date in 1980 it looked like Carter was a shoe-in for reelection. People liked Carter as a person, and those who voted for him in 1976 were reluctant to admit they had made a mistake.

Late in the election cycle (we’re talking late October folks), these voters sobered up and made the decision “we can’t survive another four years of Carter.” Within a week it went from a Carter lead to a landslide for Reagan.

The people that voted for Obama (and felt good about casting a historic vote) want him to be a good president (so they can continue to feel good about their historic vote). In late October, when the reality of having to cast an actual vote is staring them in the face, these same voters will sober up and decide “we can’t survive four more years of Obama.”

I’m predicting a landslide. It will be anti-Obama, not pro-Romney, but it will be a landslide none-the-less.

Have to address this PPP Poll. People, would you PLEASE go to the poll and actually read the questions, and then tell me who this poll was given to?

It's VERY VERY CLEAR that it was only asked of Dems, and specifically only Dems who had seen the convention.

There are at least a half-dozen questions solely about the DNC Convention---questions about Julian Castro, Martin O'Malley, Elizabeth Warren (HUH????), on Clinton, on Michelle. There was not a single question about any speaker at the GOP convention.

There is a question as to "who was more responsible for killing OBL, Obama or . . . ROMNEY????" HUH???

Now, there is no question in the poll itself that says, "what is your voter registration?" or "are you a Republican or Democrat?" And there is no question about whether or not someone attended the convention. But somewhere, they HAD to have known if the person saw or went to the convention. There aren't 10 Republicans in the nation who could answer questions about Julian Castro or Martin O'Malley, and only a few who know Elizabeth Warren.

But keep in mind, this is supposed to be an OHIO poll??? Really?

The media is at fever pitch with these latest sets of polls numbers. Saw a few talking heads on CNN raising the spectre that the House would go Dem majority come November. You know you have reached a high water point when they come out with these kind of prognostications.Similar to when the stock market has had a bull run and Time magazine features a bull on the cover with predictions of a 20000 Dow. Then the floor fall out and the market crashes. We are in the 3rd inning of a 9 inning game.

Good point.

But few differences.

Reagan was far more telegenic and had a ability to directly connect with voters bypassing the MSM.

Romney does not have the same qualities and infant doesn’t even understand how the MSM operates.

Simple. First, we have purged over 800,000 Dem "voters" vs. only 74,000 GOP voters from the rolls in the battle ground states.

Second, Jon Husted, OH Sec of State, is battling to limit the number of "early voting days." He has so far succeeded.

Third, FreedomWorks is blitzing all battle ground states with poll watchers.

Remember---though based on the tone of your post I don't think you're really interested in evidence---DISPUTED BALLOTS ARE NOT COUNTED UNTIL AFTER THE ELECTION AND ONLY IF IT'S CLOSE ENOUGH FOR A RECOUNT.

Laz and MN: Stop criticizing longtime Freepers who have been great contributors to discussions here. They are entitled to their opinions as are you...very childish to use their names and cap letters!
WOW..I’m impressed with your ability to make a BIG statement that will surely convince other Freepers of the error of RI’s and ts’s ways.

Give me a break!
You are trying to control the narrative and protect Romney which isn’t your responsibility.

If a third of our constituents are so brain dead that they stay home and let Obama get reelected, then maybe there is something to the Dems’ ideas on abortion after all.
